Noodles, Rice Kheer

Break the noodles

Boil the noodles (should sink in water + 1tbs salt + 3tbs oil) till soft and translucent.

Strain and cool the noodles under water. once cooled coat the noodles with oil(prevents sticking).

Take another container(frying pan/kadhai)

Chop up some onions(3), capsicums(3), and cabbage(1/2 patta gobi) the veggies you want to put in.

Separately chop garlic(12 cloves) ,ginger(2 inch) .

Heat it > Put oil wait till warm> Put in thymol seeds(Ajwain) for digestion > put in the onion and stuff.

Add red chilly powder , Chilly sauce(red), Soya sauce, Vinegar(1 teaspoon//last) then add the ginger garlic.

Cook till everything(veggies & garlic) is soft.

Add the noodles and mix well.

Add soya sauce to taste and mix again.

-------------------------------------------Rice Kheer

Soak rice for 15-30 mins and then crush them with hands .

Slow boil the cow milk till reduced to 3/4th. Keep scraping the sides through out (will help it get thick)

Add in 200gm sugar per 2ltr milk. Add soaked and peeled almonds, cashew-nuts, dried dates, coconut powder, fox nuts (or makhana) and Cuddapah almond(chironji). All crushed/broken except chironji.

Add the rice and boil till soft/translucent.

In the end add golden soaked raisin(kishmis).

Well, i haven't really done anything useful other than cooking lunch and completing and submiting the Project Documentation in the past two days.

I'll just leave the recipe's here for my own future reference ^_^

Dal (The easy way)

[No. of people + 2 (3 for small hands)]*1 fist measurement= the quantity of Dal

Wash and pre soak Dal for 15 to 30 mins [it should break without much pressure from the nail]

1 onion and 1 tomato for 2 people. garlic half a bulb.

Cut the onions, tomatoes and garlic put them in 1 container

Prepare the curry leaves too

Put some red chilly powder, salt, coriander(Dhaniya) powder, turmeric (Haldi; yellow thing) in the container.

Now take the pressure cooker > heat it > put oil and wait for it to warm up.

Put zeera in oil > wait till it smells nice and it's making a popping sound > put in hing (heeng) > put in the curry leaves and green chilies(optional, should be spicy for spice).

Now dump all the mixture in the container in the cooker slowly(don't burn you self)

Mix it around till you see that the onions have changed color(they seem cooked(soft/translucent).

Now put in the dal (not the water).

1 tea spoon of garam masala(market 1) else go with half a spoon if homemade.

Give it a rough mix > and 1:4 ratio water (ratio of amt(dal) to the amt(water) i.e is 1 cup dal soaked => 4 cup water)[1:3 for me]

If the cooker is small at-least pour  twice the amount of water and close the cooker. Cooker should be 1/4th empty on the top preferably.

1 tea spoon of garam masala(market 1) else go with half a spoon if homemade.

Wait till 1 wistle(seeti) is there and take off of the heat.

If it stars leaking water in between lower the heat to the lowest setting.

And that should be it.

noodles....I'll put it up tomorrow.

Yeet....
I've decide to take a drop to prepare for an exam.
I don't know if it'll help me get into a better college. I mean...
if I study for a year, properly, I should be able to get into a decent college, right?

I'm not that confident but lets give it a shot.

I'm a college student who is about to complete my Bachelor's degree[only my final exams are left (practical + theory)] and I'm planning to go for a Master's degree from a different college. That sadly needs me to brush up and relearn  my 11th and 12th mathematics syllabus for the competitive exam, my mathematics is passable at best.

as of now... 5 people know that I'm 'considering' dropping a year to prepare.
I will be tracking my progress everyday.

what I did and how I did it (if necessary, I'd be solving mathematics for god's sake)

Currently I have a few things that I'm supposed to be doing...

  • Complete my final year project and submit documentation
  • Maybe study for the final exam
  • Start studying for NIMCET
  • Help mum out with the chores

and I kind-off want to keep up in my games too.....

I just want to play games and be happy T_T but since we can't do that, lets try to do good at playing life too.

Update: Got into VIT(Chennai campus)//drop canceled.

it's been a month and 20 days since my last post. And a lot of stuff has changed. so... i was planning for a drop year for nimcet and th...
